Terms of Service
These terms are an agreement between you and Cullen ("we", "us"), a Singapore-based business. They govern your use of the Cullen browser extension, the trycullen.com website, and every service we provide through them. By creating an account or using Cullen you accept these terms and our Refund Policy. If you do not accept them, do not use Cullen.
1. What Cullen is
Cullen is a content intelligence tool for creators. The extension reads public Instagram, TikTok, and YouTube Shorts pages inside your own browser, in your own session, and ranks the posts it finds against each account's own baseline. Paid analysis features send captured public content to our backend, where Cullen produces an evidence-based breakdown of why a post performed. Cullen never asks for your Instagram, TikTok, or YouTube passwords and never logs in to those platforms on your behalf.
2. Your account
- You need an account to use Cullen, including during the free trial. Sign-in is with Google or an email code; keep access to that email secure, because it controls the account.
- An account is for one person. You may use it on more than one of your own devices, but not share it, resell it, or operate it as a pool for a team. Agency and team plans do not exist yet; contact us if you need one.
- You must be at least 18 to use Cullen.
3. Plans, trial, and credits
- Free trial: 7 days from signup, no card required. It includes full Level 1 access and 12 one-time analysis credits.
- Level 1 (sort and capture): billed yearly at US$12 per year.
- Level 2 (analysis and scripts): US$19 per month or US$149 per year, and includes 300 credits each billing cycle. A deep-dive costs 3 credits; a script pack costs 1.
- Top-ups: US$5 per 100 credits, available on an active Level 2 plan.
- Credit rules: plan credits reset at the start of each billing cycle and do not roll over. Purchased top-up credits never expire while your account exists. Spending draws down plan credits first, then top-ups. Credits have no cash value and are not transferable.
We may change prices or what a plan includes. Changes apply from your next billing cycle, and we will tell you before they do.
4. Billing through Paddle
Our payments are handled by Paddle (paddle.com), acting as Merchant of Record. Paddle runs the checkout, processes your payment, handles applicable sales taxes and VAT, and issues invoices; their name may appear on your card statement. Your purchase is also subject to Paddle's checkout terms. We never see or store your card details.
5. Refunds and cancellation
Every plan carries a 30-day money-back guarantee, described in full in our Refund Policy. You can cancel any subscription at any time; you keep access until the end of the period you paid for.
6. Acceptable use
- Use Cullen only with accounts and pages you can already view in your own browser. Cullen reads what you can see; do not attempt to make it read what you cannot.
- Do not probe, overload, reverse engineer, or interfere with our backend, and do not attempt to manufacture credits, bypass entitlement checks, or automate bulk scanning beyond normal personal use.
- You are responsible for your own compliance with the terms of the platforms you browse.
- We may suspend or terminate accounts that abuse the service, attempt to defraud it, or impose costs far outside normal use.
7. Content and results
Captured public content (posts, engagement numbers, public comments) is stored on our backend to power your scans and analyses, as described in our Privacy Policy. Analyses and scripts Cullen produces for you are yours to use in your own work. Cullen's analysis is grounded in real evidence, but social platforms are not predictable: we do not guarantee views, growth, or revenue from acting on any analysis.
8. Availability and changes
Cullen depends on third-party platforms that change without notice, so specific features (for example a capture engine for one platform) may degrade or need updates from time to time. We work to restore them quickly, but we provide the service "as is" and may add, change, or retire features. If we ever discontinue a paid plan entirely, we will refund the unused portion.
9. Liability
To the maximum extent the law allows, Cullen is provided without warranties of any kind, and our total liability for any claim arising out of the service is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim. Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot be excluded under applicable law.
10. Ending the agreement
You can stop using Cullen and delete your account at any time by contacting us. We can suspend or end accounts that break section 6, with refunds handled per the Refund Policy. Sections 7, 9, and 11 survive the end of the agreement.
11. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of Singapore, and disputes fall under the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Singapore.
12. Changes to these terms
When we change these terms in a way that matters, we will post the new version here and note the new effective date, and for significant changes we will email account holders. Continuing to use Cullen after a change means you accept it.
